Optimize Your Injection Molding Process with Kistler’s Data Acquisition System
Complete Process/ and Cavity Monitoring
From Sensors to Cloud

Along with high quality sensors and accessories for various applications, Kistler provides the industry leading injection molding process monitoring systems ComoNeo and ComoScout.  With the help of these systems, injection molders can set up processes quickly and monitor them effectively in real time. Integrated control algorithms guarantee constant process conditions. Additionally, Machine Learning / AI algorithms provide prescriptive insight and determine optimal process parameters.

As an injection molder, you are faced with major challenges every day. Numerous factors influence the quality of injection molding in production. So: how can you achieve smooth production with zero defects – and with optimized costs?

The most efficient and reliable method of quality assurance for injection molding consists of integrating QA directly into the injection molding process. The principle: sensor technology positioned precisely in the injection mold – that is to say, exactly where quality is produced – detects deviations from the target condition and allows automated identification of bad parts as well as control of the injection molding machine.

Kistler sensors, systems and software solutions help to solve these challenges. Thanks to ComoNeo assistance systems, you can set up your processes quickly and monitor them effectively. Integrated control algorithms guarantee constant process conditions. And, not least, algorithms based on machine learning help you to determine the optimum operating point.

The result: defective parts are detected and you’re on the path towards zero-defect production. Plus: relevant key process values and evaluation results can be transmitted via OPC UA to existing data management systems for further analysis.

ComoNeo Process Monitoring System is perfect for:

  • Synchronizes the pressure profiles by individually controlling the nozzle temps on the hot runner

  • Cavity Pressure-based Analysis

  • Injection Molding Process Optimization

  • Monitoring and Documentation of Injection Molding Process Parameters

Sensors for Every Measuring Task:

  • Direct Sensors – Direct contact with the plastic melt as it fills the cavity.

  • Indirect Sensors – Typically placed under an ejector pin as the plastic contacts the ejector pin, the pressure is transferred to the sensor.

  • Temperature Sensors – Record the temperature of the plastic as it flows into and through the cavity.

  • Contactless Pressure Sensors – Installed behind the cavity wall without contact of the molded part.
